Uses the discrete Neumann method to find the mutual inductance between two curves or the estimated self inductance of a single curve. The Neumann method provides an exact solution to the mutual inductance, assuming the curves are infinitely thin. Discretizing the Neumann formula in order to solve for any shapes provides a very accurate approximation to the mutual inductance.
Draw any curve within the gray box. The first curve is put on the 'blue' layer and is colored blue. The second curve is put on the 'red' layer and is colored red. Then simply tap the 'Calculate' button to find the mutual inductance between the two curves. If only one curve is drawn, the self inductance is found.
Features
-Quickly solves the self or mutual inductance.
- By default the curves are to-scale. You can re-scale your curves using the 'Screen Width' input to make very large or very small curves.
- Can set the layer distance between the red and blue layers. By default, the layer distance is 1 mm.
- Clean, simple, efficient layout.
- Black background for improved battery performance on OLED displays.
